Portrait

Anta Rupflin very rarely dated her works. Most works in the catalogue raisonné have therefore been dated by the authors to the best of their knowledge using letters, calendars, notebooks and photographs in the estate. These dates, however, are not claimed to be definitive.
However the artist seemed to attach great importance to determining the ideal dimensions of the passpartouts herself. She drew corners or even frames into her works to determine the ideal placing of the passpartout. Occasionally she placed measurements in pencil on the lower margin of the pictures. This, however, is not noted in detail in the catalogue.
